Lars Fritsche

Lars is a postdoctoral research fellow working with Gonçalo Abecasis to unravel the genetic causes of age-related macular degeneration (AMD).

He earned his Ph.D. in Human Genetics at the University of Regensburg (Germany) where he worked with Bernhard H.F. Weber.

Lars has published several papers on the genetics of AMD since 2005 (http://scholar.google.com/citations?user=K8kwj8cAAAAJ&hl=en).

He is an active analyst and member of the International AMD Genomics Consortium (https://amdgenetics.org/).
